Stronger Than Fear Brown Kanath
Nobility takes many forms and this brown is but one definition of it. His hide is a rich, dark umber, streaked with bistre, chocolate, and finer threads of tawny to render the illusion of dark fur on draconic hide. His visage is vaguely lupine, with headknobs that perk upright more than backward. They're balanced against neckridges that rake backward, as if blown back in perpetuity by some unseen wind. His neck is powerful, leading into a deep chest and narrow flanks, while long legs promise to carry him for so long as he might desire. The shadow'd hues of his hide grow darker along his belly and the insides of his limbs, pooling into darker, richer colors at his paws and along the length of his tail. His wings, on the other hand, are a splendor unto themselves, with darkest night filled with celestial forms that seem to spin and wheel in their orbits of copper and sepia. Galaxies and stars alike are scribed upon those 'sails, promising lifetimes of adventure yet to be experienced.
Tricky Teeth Egg
There is a matte sweetness that clings deceptively across the not entirely smooth surface of this shell. Lacquered layers of sugary sweetness build in tiny waves and break in shallow ridges. The odd ridges and valleys texture matches roughly to the strange colorations which splotch this irregular surface. To be more precise the blotches aren’t any old irregularity but a series of overlapping elongated triangles, more like shark teeth piled or scattered haphazardly. That is up for debate. What is not is that unlike the predator, the edges of the geometric shapes are smoothed but each is trisected in layers of creamy white, pumpkin orange and a thinner base of hay yellow. Is it a trick, or is it a treat? Only time will tell!

Hatching Message
Wobble: Movement? Here? No, no. Tricky Teeth Egg hasn't moved an iota this whole time. Nope. Not a bit. Just pay no mind to the fact that its wallow has somehow gotten a little wider.
Crack: Something wicked this way comes, but it's not Tricky Teeth Egg's occupant - yet. But cracks suffice as a herald for changing times and there is no way to deny that the time of reckoning will be at hand.
Hatch: Its fate is sealed. Tricky Teeth Egg is destined to end and make way for the next generation - and it does. The shell cracks and shatters, leaving a brown dragonet in its wake. He lifts his head, sniffs at the air, and hesitates as he gets his bearings. Where will he go from here? Only he knows. For now.

Stronger Than Fear Brown Hatchling finally, finally spots the person that will make a perfect padawan rider - and it's a young, brown-haired man with hazel eyes, whose skills might be across the board, but whose heart is clearly in the right place.

Personality
Your Kanath will be precocious, that much will be apparent the day after the hatching. He'll be an eager beaver about getting fed, bathed, and oiled - and he'll desperately want to go outside immediately. He'll have a love for the stars that he'll never quite be able to explain, but it's a love that will build over the turns and may encourage you to look at the Starcraft - if not to join it, then to get knowledge for him.
He'll always be friendly enough with his fellow dragons and especially his siblings, but he'll maintain an aloofness from them. You, after all, are the one he loves the most and he wants to spend as much time and focus on you as he can. You are his sounding board, his source of food and protection in those early days; later, he'll be able to return the favor, when he's fully grown and able to do more on his own.
While he will be a bit reckless in his youth - especially when it comes to seeking adventure in any form he can find - he will settle down to a more thoughtful and reserved dragon once he learns to fly. The understanding that flight and, of course, between training can be dangerous is all the more reason for him to learn how to exercise greater control. He wants no harm to come to either of you and he will do everything in his power to ensure that you will be safe.
He will take very well to the lessons as given, especially the physical training, although he may still lag somewhat behind his siblings when it comes to flight skill. This could be a side-effect of his caution, or it might be a physical limitation that can be trained out of him. Either way, it's something that might make the rest of weyrlinghood a bit more challenging, one way or the other.
Full maturity and the freedom it allows means that both of you will be able to explore the world - and even a little bit of space, in the form of the satellite! - together. And he will want to explore. He'll want to see all the world and for you to see it, too; to see what life has to offer in every nook and cranny of the planet that you two call home.
He will not be naturally ambitious in the sense of seeking leadership, but he's not averse to the idea, either. Indeed, his dedication and studiousness when it comes to his duty as a dragon to Igen Weyr will likely draw him into the sphere of leadership at some point or another as a matter of course. If he's ever in a leadership role, he'll shine - but, if he's not, then he'll serve as an exemplary example of what Igen Weyr can offer.
When it comes to flights, he's neither interested nor disinterested; it's just not first and foremost on his mind. In his early maturity, he might chase a few times just for the experience but, after that, he's not likely to be roused to interest unless he's already interested in a green or gold.
Thus, when he does chase, he does so with a greater passion than one might think him capable of. He'll be ardent, focused, and intense - which will take time for him to cool down from, if he doesn't actually catch the object of his desires. He'll seek some kind of meditative peace, either in a relatively isolated location or in a body of water where he can literally - as much as figuratively - cool down.
Should he win, however, he'll be content to be with his mate for so long as she'll tolerate him and dote on her with great affection until he's forgotten the win… until the next time.
Physicalities
He has a rugged, lean build, with a somewhat lupine snout (relatively speaking), upright headknobs, and a particularly whippy tail when he gets excited. While he'll be fairly proportional overall, he will have a slight edge when it comes to moving on the ground; those long legs of his will help tremendously. Though he's of middling size overall, he will have decent endurance as well, though his aerial abilities will always be a bit lacking (unless he devotes great effort to improving them).
The only constant from weyrlinghood to adulthood is the fact that he'll A) enjoy his baths and B) will enjoy belly rubs (much to his chagrin). No one else will be able to rub his belly, but he'll enjoy it every time you can manage it. He will have itchy spots on his chin and behind his headknobs in particular, so you'll need to keep those well-oiled to keep the hide from flaking.
Mindvoice
The realm of his mind is expansive, a whole world unto itself that will require a lifetime of exploration. Outsiders might find themselves permitted a small space on a grassy field or a mountain top or forests full of alien trees - but that's all they'll see. You, on the other hand, will see everything his mind has to offer. It's so much like an echo of Pern - and, yet, the geography is different, foreign and strange and all the more beautiful for it.
Felines and lupines populate the space and will often be used as his heralds or for other things. Passing on messages, seeking information, or just generally keeping an ear on things are common uses of his mental creatures.
His speaking voice is not especially rich, but there is a depth to it that seems to reverberate in the chest. And he does speak when he must, but you're the only one that will truly feel his voice in your bones and sinew.
The world will also betray his moods: anger will rain thunder and lightning on the landscape and set the seas to boiling; joy will be a springtime breeze, avians on the wind, and the scent of flowers. Sadness might be a drizzle on the tundra, while excitement might elicit an explosion of life across the world in a burst of euphoria.
During flights, he'll pick up a deeper note, while the winds will still, the sky will darken, and you'll feel the heavy throb of something pulsing in the background. His voice will take on a darker, seductive slant, and that will paint his world in flavors of temptation.
He does hold a special place for you in his mind and it is a distant spire, one filled with great halls that echo with the sound of your footsteps and breathing. It is a place of peace, of calm, of quiet; a place where you can meditate and find rest for your spirit and heart.
Inspiration
Egg
The Egg was inspired from Candy Corn candy. It is one of Iwa’s favorite once-a-year treats. While there are many color varieties now this egg focuses on the classic original. The candy is overly sweet and often used as decorations as well as treats and with their shape they also make good teeth for carved pumpkins.
Egg Touches
The touch inspirations were generated while listening to the source song inspiration …Ready For It by Taylor Swift and giving it a holiday spooky spin/twist. While the spooktacular holiday is often more scary, the egg itself is more sugary and darkly playful/teasing so the song carried that mix forward with a slightly darker edge but still a lot of fun. The dark yet playful sense was meant to encapsulate one into a bit of a ride on the darker side, and it formed the beginnings of possibility as any egg is want to do.
Dragon
His overall personality was inspired by Kanan Jarrus (thanks to T'syn for the idea!) while his physicalities were derived from Loth-wolves, highly intelligent, loyal, and Force-sensitive creatures native to the planet Lothal. From T'syn:
Kanan had a fun side, he didn’t mind going on adventures, but he always thought things through. He wasn’t particularly impulsive and was very patient and careful, especially with his family. He was a nice guy, but definitely needed his alone/meditation time, and like most Jedi before and after Order 66, he tended to remain aloof from everyone but his closest friends. And since Kanan definitely had sex despite being a Jedi, he has sexual interest, but was really more demi-sexual, preferring only his chosen mate and not likely having much interest otherwise.
And that just sounded about right for what you were looking for!
Name
His name is drawn directly from Kanan Jarrus's own - the letters just snapped into place! There's no deep meaning here, but there is something to be said about names that come into being with crystal clarity without too much struggle!
The hatchling name is drawn directly from a quote by Kanan:
"You were right. I was a coward. But now, I know there's something stronger than fear. Far stronger. The Force."

And that does sum up what we hope he will be for A'tu - something stronger than fear, to push him further, to take him where he'd never go before.
Mindvoice
T'syn suggested a Jedi Temple on Lothal (note below!) and that also seemed like the perfect backdrop for your Kanath's thoughts and whole focus of being.
Jedi Temple on Lothal. Quiet, peaceful, filled with the Force, a place for meditation, for getting away, for being alone with the only being in the world who understands the meaning of Peace as you do - your –padawan– rider.
We ended up expanding it to encompass all of Lothal for the sake of some variety and to give a little more room to play around with his mental imagery.
