Igen Weyr - Moonshine Gardens
A large sandstone archway provides a dramatic entrance from the soft fine sands of the lake shore. The room within defined by sandstone brick walls which vary in height, but none low enough to be seen over. Colorful awnings stretch overhead, connected by a series of poles and wires so that they float effortlessly above. They provide shelter from the sun during the day, and a warm comforting feel at night lit by electric lights. Plank flooring is stained a medium cherry hue, giving an odd effect to the open space.

A solid wall at the back leads to a smaller building where the kitchen is located. Colored glass shelves line the wall in irregular intervals, stocked with all fashion of liquor and wine. A massive bar rests in front of the wall, an exquisite piece of skybroom polished and stained to a flawless black finish, accented with two inlaid meandering stripes of pearl and silver. Matching black and silver stools line along the front of the bar. Round tables for four-somes to six-somes are spread about haphazardly with comfortable but also easily replaceable wicker chairs.

It's evening, the heat of the day is mostly passed and the cool breeze just picking up to speed relief for the Weyr residents. Neyuni is lounging at the bar. While she's alone at the bar there are pairs and trios of residents scattered about the open room providing a low background hum of conversation.

With the cool breeze curling in around the red haired one, Zak strides into the bar with every intention of….having a drink. Rather boring but there it is. The beast crafter apprentice spies Neyuni first and slides into a seat beside her. "Evening." he offers in a pleasant baritone.

Neyuni pushes a stray graying hair back into place as the breeze ruffles through. Legs sway in a casual random as she seems to be waiting and the arrival of another welcomed with a nod "Evening. " and leaning briefly a little closer as if giving away a deep weyr secret "You'll have to pardon the short wait.. I think they had to go make another run for ice." she straightens face just serious enough its hard to tell if she's truthful or not, although the immediate absence of the bartender is obvious.

Zak gives a solemn nod of his head. "A long run one would guess." he murmurs, amused. "I suppose we shall have to pass the time with conversation then!"

Neyuni sighs "and parched throats it seems" a soft lament. "So what's passed your time for today? I admit nothing particularly exciting although I do hope Zuhth'll take to the grounds soon. She's coming up with new ways to complain of being egg-heavy.
"Birth of a new foal in the stables kept me up late last night." replies Zak. "Was going to sleep in some but someone came to me with sick kittens so I was busy until just about the last candlemark." which is why the desire for a drink now. "I would imagine coming up with new ways is a way to keep you on your toes? How is she complaining now?" he asks curiously

Neyuni eyes you a bit "Impressive that you're still standing. I'd have definitely stretched out on the hammock, a night and day. Guess this'll be a nightcap for you indeed. " at the mention of kittens "Really? I've thought of getting one. I didn't think they got sick, that's tough. They're so cute too." As for her own partner "If you can imagine she says she's cold and she's to cold to be waddling." the riders eyes roll.

"She wasn't sick per say just got into some food she shouldn't have." he's not yawning. Yet. "Aye, I figure a drink or two and then off to bed I go. And if you want on, I think I know of a pregnant wild cat that I've seen. I haven't figured out who she belongs too but the momma is due any time." a pause. "Cold?" in Igen?

Neyuni runs a hand along the dark wood of the bar top. "Yea, if you can believe it. Must be hormones or something… or she's just being creative. Tomorrow it'll probably be too hot, and I'll have to get her a blanket." though where one finds dragon sized blankets… "eyes glance back towards the curtained off door. It really has been awhile "So, really? Well that does interest me actually. I wonder if al'dru'd mind." although from the tone he might just have to make room if she's got something in mind. "Although I'm not sure about a wildcat just wandering about either, or can't be much worse than the wild firelizards." maybe, seems she's almost talking to herself a bit. "You'll let me know really?"

"Lucky for me, I don't have to worry about hormones." not to mention finding a dragon sized blanket. "Yeah, really. Momma cat's been wandering. I'll let you know though." promises the beast crafter. "It'll be some time before you'd be able to take baby home though. Can't separate them from the momma too soon.”

Neyuni looks pleased at the prospect "Well seems I'll be needing a few pointers on such things. That's not really my forte. I suppose you are a bit lucky not to have to deal with things like that. Well unless some pretty little green comes you way sometime." it's teasing and finally the bartender does return and with a bucket of chipped ice and a fruity looking thing in a tall glass which gets set down in from of the weyrwoman with a bit of growl." Oh, that wasn't to much trouble was it?" she smiles innocently to the harrumph "I think he's thirsty too. It's been such a long day /and/ night." she grins toward Zak. then other random things seem to pop to mind. "Speaking of kittens, do you notice the cats around here having a tendency towards a particular coat color? I've heard there are some regional varieties but .." that would seem to be something that might be more your expertise.

Zak laughs. "One never knows though there's times I feel too old for any pretty little greens looking my way!" he shakes his head then his expression brightens at the return of the bartender. "Oh hey! That looks great. Can I get one too?" is asked right on the heels of the weyrwoman's comment on his long day and night. He tries to give a hound dog look to the 'tender to help. "Oh yes, you know I have noticed that. It's not really too much into my specialty though cause I'm more of healing than straight breeding. But I can perhaps look it up for you?"

Neyuni takes a sip as Zak places his own order. It must hit the spot as she rolls the concoction about savoring it. The bartender sighs heavily but looks to the weyrwoman at the request. Yuni seems a little surprised but gives the tiny nod and the 'tender disappears back behind the curtain, only it won't take so long this time. "It's my special, though I think its the last bottle of the liquor." lamenting again but the prospect of perhaps traded information loosens up any emotional knots (or maybe the drink helps too) "Sorry I do go off on tangents but things percolate after I've spent so many turns here. If its not too much of a bother I would really appreciate the info, or even to know who's the better person to ask." or lean on for yet another little 'project' . "Our own little dunecats or such." and the bartender returns and places a similar tall glass before Zak before moving along to check on the other customers in the gardens.

Zak doesn't seem to realize he's ordering a special concoction of the weyrwomans. "Oh yes, I'll either find out the information for you or the right specialty to be asking for." a wide grin is cast as the glass is put before him. "I am at your service weyrwoman." he assures as he takes his first taste.

Neyuni raises her glass as yours is delivered. "Thank you. To service then" or information, or little endless projects which keeps life interesting. From the sudden glazed look it seems as if her over service is needed "Oh dear. What about truffles?" an apologetic look and she's sliding off her perch and back to business, if she manages to take her drink along "Do let me know if you like the taste Zak." a final wave and she disappears back out to the weyr.
